Taku Yoshiya

Peptide Institute

Taku Yoshiya studied peptide chemical synthesis and chemical biology using O-acyl isopeptide method at Kyoto Pharmaceutical University (Japan) under the guidance of Prof. Yoshiaki Kiso and obtained his Ph.D. in 2010. Then, he joined Peptide Institute, Inc. (Japan) in 2011, and gained experience in customer service and product planning as well as peptide synthesis and research management. In 2018, he was appointed to Head of Research Division and then promoted to Executive Vice President in 2021. Meanwhile, he also joined Institute for Protein Research in Osaka University as Guest Professor in 2022. He is a Councilor of the Japanese Peptide Society and Japanese Society for Proteases in Pathophysiology. His research interest includes chemical synthesis of peptide/protein and development of biology-oriented chemical tools.
